Seems to work fine for me. Same for Sprint. I got the TP as a replacement for a dying Mogul and it seems a pretty good replacement. I can't see myself moving to another carrier with their ridiculous data pricing and out of Sprint's phones, I think the TP is the most capable at the moment. I may get a Palm Pre when it comes out because it seems to have nice new hardware and proper video acceleration but depending on how long it takes to get a decent tethering app I may wait a bit.
