Case is made of metal, last I checked radio waves + metal (faraday cage) = very bad for the radio waves. I used an all metal case on my Blackberry, usually I get 5 bars of 1x and 3-5 bars of EV everywhere in town. With the metal case I got 3 bars of 1X and was lucky to pick up EV anywhere beside the mall/Verizon store.

I really am not sure, but I think aluminum (which these cases are) has different properties than other metals. I don't know all the chemistry behind it, but anyway, I have no issues with reception w my TPro and had none with my Mogul (I had an armor case for that one too). And I've used the phones all over CA, in Chicago area, NYC, NV, UT, AZ, TX, and I am usually right there w the nearest Vzw users
But just my experience of course!
