I would rather do it with a email list. I can set up a gmail account, take down all who is willing's email, and then set them in a group.

Then its as simple as a link to the thread stating new rom released, sent to all emails in the group.

I PM'd MightyMike. If he gives me the go ahead I am going to make the email, and anyone interested just email the account I make with something along the lines of, "Sign me up!."
