The best hack I can think of is to take your verizon pro and remove the insides. Then get a sprint touch pro, remove the insides of that phone and then place in into the verizon casing. It may take a few days with help but you should be good to go.
Just kidding around, anyway its unfortunate that the verizon gimped their version of the pro so badly but in any case there are many custom roms that can speed things up for you a little or you can get a sprint touch pro and flash to verizons network.
