Great fix, love it!!! If you don't mind glossman, I wanted to put a copy and paste of this tut (with proper creds) on my site. This worked for me first try!!
As to what bootloader mode will work, I don't care what mode suffices, all I care about is that this works to recover, and it does, great stuff! thanks again.
