I went to quickGPS and downloaded the data, and GPStool almost instantly got a fix. I quit the application, and tried starting google maps, but could not find any satellites. I restarted quickGPS and after reaching 100%, it said connection failed please try again. I reopened GPStool, and all the settings were reverted back to what they were before. Searching around here shows that GPStool does not save the settings.

So my question is, how do I actually use the GPS outside of GPStool? What is the procedure, and do I need to do it after every soft reset or whenever I need to run the GPS?
did you change you gps settings in google maps as well? if you dont adjust the setting there it wont work
