Try to complete the transaction online. Go to the Asurion website and follow the instructions to complete a claim. One of the last steps in the online process will tell you what model phone they will provide you. If the model is not what you want, then just cancel the claim right there.

I don't know if the person you spoke to was giving you a "generic" answer; but the online system will actually check what they have available in stock and tell you what replacement options you have. Give it a try and let us know what happens. Although, I've heard that the HTC Touch Pro is on back-order, so it may take a few days to get it.
