Re: new radio 1.07.06f

OK... So I have been testing this radio for a day or so. I switched from the 1.11 radio, and I am in the Los Angeles area. Here are the few things I noticed.

Both the 1.11 and the 1.07 radio lock on GPS a lot faster. The stock sprint one was pretty much useless. It is a toss up between 1.11 or 1.07, but for real world, it does not matter. We are talking like 15 secs vs. 20 sec, so what will those extra 5 secs get you. But still a lot better then the stock radio which took up to 4 mins or more, and would loose connection all the time.

I called several people and the noticed no difference in audio quality in any of my calls. "sounds like a mobile phone..." nothing different. This was with any radio

Data... no difference here on either. In fact, the whole data thing is odd. I know people try new radios, and new TCP settings, but my transfer varies from 300 to 1500 no matter what I do. I think this has nothing to do with radio and more to do with the network. Theoritically, the the middle of the night, on a clear dry day, in a vaccum, I may be able to get 3000, but I will never be able to count on that in the real world. Most of the time, I will get 400 to 800. Nothing is going to make your speed consistant and good in your area. If you want to get the speed that other people are advertising, move in with them.... at least that is my theory.
