Verizon Diamond Release Details Surface
The first concrete details regarding the
Verizon variant of the HTC Touch Diamond have surfaced along with preliminary pricing and availability information.
The
device will be available starting on April 10th online, through Telesales, and through Business accounts with an as yet undetermined availability for retail stores and dealers.
The Verizon variant will be functionally identical to the
Sprint and Alltel versions with a VGA display, TouchFLO 3D interface, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi radio,
Bluetooth with stereo
audio support, speakerphone and GPS support via VZNavigator.
As expected, the Verizon variant will dispense with the built-in 4GB NAND flash memory module, instead utilizing a microSDHC expansion slot which will increase its appeal for those customers that desire extra storage space for
files or applications while also adding a flash for the camera.
The device will be sold for $469.99 Month-to-Month, or as low as $199.99 after new 2 year agreement, qualifying data
plan, and additional rebates.
