Everytime I setup email, I do it while it is disconnected from the computer. Also if you are syncing outlook email, make sure it is not the same email that you set up on the phone. For instance if you have 1 yahoo mail account and you want it on both the computer and the phone, set it up so that active sync does not sync email. Otherwise you will have 2 of the same account on the phone.
