That is, if you can afford the re-stocking fee. I think it is around 30 bucks. When I first got the omnia, I checked the forums there at the Verizon site, and they have a thread going about this, and from what I read on it, verizon is under a lot of pressure. I would advise everyone to go there and let them hear your thoughts on the subject. The administrators are viewing that thread constantly due to the massive feedback on the subject. My experience with verizon has been great. I live in BFE, so I don't really need GPS. I used to be with a GSM carrier, but couldn't get much signal where I lived. My phone kept dropping calls. With verizon, I get EVDO in the middle of nowhere!! As long as their network coverage is so much more supperior to other carriers, I think most people will stay with them. Otherwise, people just need to drop verizon and go to another carrier. They need to make sure they let verizon know why they left. If this happens enough, verizon will unlock the GPS. Supply and demand. Me, I just use google maps.....that works for me.
