Do I need to do anything to my phone to unlock it for another user to activate? I'll be cancelling my service with Verizon. Not sure if that matters.

edit just did a little research..found info stating as long as the bill is current for the account tied to the ESN its clear to activate by someone else. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? I found some weird links, it'd be nice to see someone here confirm it.
Standard hard reset will do the trick
