I wonder if, when a call comes in, the OS looks in the My Documents\My Ringtones folder for the selected ringtone first and then \Windows and \Windows\Ringers second, and if it can't find the My Documents\My Ringtones folder, it sometimes goes ringer brain-dead. That would explain why people without the My Documents\My Ringtones folder can still get their ringtones most of the time, but why sometimes the phone fails to ring. Just a thought.
