Like apacho said, the defective chrome is only for a certain number of devices. The very first ones, and they are limited by MEID. So don't think it's a shot at a free replacement. It's a very small amount of devices.
Besides, if the screen is cracked, that trumps all other problems. It would still be $120 even if you did have cracked chrome and a valid MEID.
