Rphoneman may be a red herring for the real problem, which is the internal flash. I had exactly the same problem (My Storage erased or corrupted) when transferring some large videos into My Storage. I finally bought a micro-SD (spend the $ for a fast one, IMO) and move big stuff back and forth to it.

If I had the time I would probably figure out a way to replicate this repeatedly so I can take it back in the store and get a new one. Maybe not. Until I saw your post I assumed I just had a flaky phone. Maybe the problem is more endemic...
