So, at this point, I'm 95% sure that the email from MS is legit. Even if it's not, I've been advised by my legal council that custom roms violate the terms of Windows Mobile's EULA. It seems that I could be imprisoned for up to 5 years, and fined up to $1,000,000. I'm not willing to take that kind of risk, so I am complying 100% by removing all rom and sys links immediately. It was a good ride..
