If anyone has an idea how to fix this please comment, I love this volume control but I want to use the etiquette feature. Why is it we find the perfect program, only to realize it screws up another favorite program.

Yeah--I've been doing some homework. Apparently the new Volume Control, is invoked by a new version of the G-sensor. This new G-sensor sucks eggs, not allowing four way rotation and broken etiquette mode. However, the volumecontrol.dll is the actual application. So I figured I would modify the cab and play with it a bit.

Edit: No joy. SVC requires the new acc_sensor. So while its not SVC as the culprit, it might as well be, considering you cannot have one without the other.
