I just got an iBook replacing my PC (flashing from sd is my only choice for now) and you can't tether via usb with a mac without an intel chip. So i bought a 5 dollar EDR Bluetooth usb from ebay and gave BT PAN a try. I was skeptical before trying, but it is JuST AS FAST AAAANNNNDD I can put my phone on the charger way across the room (maybe farther haven't tested)... i love it!
