Very disappointed with the carriers
The utter lack of post-purchase support from the major carriers and manufactuers (that means YOU Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and UTStarcom!) disturbs me.
Will we be able to flash a downgrade afterward? Tethering built-in??
Been running the Alltel 3.3.1 + radio upgrade on my XV6700 since released. Coverage issues have mostly gone away - only get disconnected from EVDO USB tethering every once in awhile. And it sure is nice having Bluetooth wireless stereo so I can rock out when mowing the lawn. Having a lockup issue with the Camera app that is repeatable tho, and was going to bring it in when/if the XV6800 gets released to see if I could "upgrade" - I'd just have to change the Alltel bootup screen back to Verizon and make sure the channel was run dry of the 6700, which it appears just might happen now that there'll be a greater demand for the refurbs. =)
