Are you using the default contact manager or something else. Even if you did not import your pim.vol you should have one there although it would be an empty file because of the new flash. With that being said, the defaut contact manager should still open as well unless there is an issue with the installation of that software.

I remember when I did mine along time ago I had to rename my pim.vol with my stored info to pim1.vol and then copy it over because my default pim.vol with no info was in use and i could not delete it. Once I got my pim1.vol copied over I had to soft reset, delete the pim.vol and rename pim1.vol to pim.vol and I hope that makes sense to you. Once I did that I had all my info restored.
