If you access http://ota.getvzappzone.com using Opera, Skyfire, or IE on the phone you get the exact same message as what the cab file tells you. It's not like I can call Verizon and ask about it hehe...
Anyone with any ideas ?

hahahaha I got it. It is Internet Explorer Mobile thats the trouble maker. For some reason the ROM has the custom user agent set as a SprintPCS ppc6850. This is why it cannot identify our hardware and install. Here is what you need to do. Load up a Registry editor program and change the following:
navigate to:
HKLM\Security\Internet Explorer\User Agent
You will see the value:
Sprint PPC6850SP
Click on it and change the value to:
480x640; XV6850; Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional;
Click done/save and thats it..
Now load the vzappzone cab and it will install properly. I'm on it now looking at software. I'm updating my xv6850 Verizon tweak post next.
