Gadget,
inside your dll the start icon is 41*41 and all other icons are 32*32, is this right? (i mean i have no clue whats right, thats why i ask. all i know is i read post 1 qvga (start icon is 21*18 (21*21))
helpful person (who wants thanks) oh and (doesnt say search, cuz believe me i been),
so i been readin an RE-reading every post w/ instructions and i have to say its mostly 4 VGA. i mean to say there isnt much on QVGA. i understand they have the same process (pretty much) but as far as editing goes, i'm still a little lost. i did do 1 dll (not sure how it turned out, yet) its the tapres dll. 1st i unsign, 2nd i open in PEexplorer, then i have sum questions 4 you 1)do i only edit/replace the files in IconEntry? or do i have 2 do stuff w/ bitmap, or group icon, or string? 2) what size for icons (qvga)? is it the same as start icon 4 qvga, 21*21(21*18 )? 3) does the # of the icons in icon entry matter? cuz 1 dll (like the TB6elite phcan) has more #icons than original phcan? 4 ex. i like the battery and want to keep all other icons original, so i would want 2 save all the new battery icons and then open up the original dll and replace them w/ the old, but there is more icons for the new battery than original so what i do then? i think i have more questions but my head hurts so thats it 4 now and i hope i'm understandable cuz yea i dunno.
thanks 4 any help
p.s. to all the creators (2 many 2 name, u know who you are): i think every1 should try 2 edit dll's (at least 1 time), and then and only then will they (me) understand the hard work you go threw and the time it takes. i understand now and apreciate it. i will figure this out and when i do i share.

KJ,
The process is is virtually identical to VGA, but what matters is how detailed the icons are. High detail icons that look great on a VGA machine look awful on hours. When I get sometime this afternoon, I'll work with you so you can understand the process. Thanks!
