honestly, i ask myself that question often. i've always had cheap cell phones and they have never ever broken. i've always treated them right, never drop them or get them wet. i know it was foolish not to get the insurance and i prob will decide to pay the $55 and take it as a lesson learned... are refurb touch pros considered not as good? i know that people have stated that the newer touch pros are getting better ie: better slide out for keyboard... little things like that
