I'd like to hear peoples opinions on how good/bad an experience they had with the manufacturers warranty (HTC Touch Pro preferably).

I've had the phone a month and a half and the hardware keyboard is shot. I dont have insurance through sprint but they will replace it with a refurbished touch pro overnight if i go through them for $55... basically what do people think of sending it to HTC? do they try to fix urs or do they just send u out a replacement? would it be refurb or new? how long does it take? is it free besides paying for shipping expense?

question for the sprint reps... how much might a simple keyboard repair cost under no insurance?... lets just say its a loose ribbon or something

any input is appreciated
im not trying to be mean but im going to be straight forward. Why didnt you get insurance. to get a 600 phone without insurance on it probably isnt the best move you ever made. that being said, I'd just pay the $55 deductable and take it as a lesson learned. You can then add the insurance on your new device. you would have to be without a phone if you went through htc
