Tunnel Activesync Over TCP
Hello,
Has anyone succesfully tunneled an Activesync 'sync' session over TCP?
Most of the time I get to work and mid-morning I'm thinking it'd be great if I could sync my 6700 with my PC that's sitting at home.
Here's what I've tried so far.
1) I changed the 6700 from USB (RNDIS) to Serial using USB switch
2) Punched a hole in my home fire wall and installed a 'server' com port using some software called "Advanced Virtual COM Port"
3) Installed the client "Advanced Virtual COM Port" on my work machine and opened a connection to my home machine
4) In activesync I unchecked USB connection and selected my virtual com port
The furthest I've made it, is that when I open activesync on my 6700 and hit the sync button, activesync on my home machine indicates that it's connecting. The activesync installed on my work computer eventually eats my sync session. I think the current setup is more of demux than it is a pipe to my home machine.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
