I agree completely in regards to OpenGL as well as new XIP/SYS integrations in current and future ROM development, I just dont see a true use for footprints itself to be a prime component of the TF2D/TF3D ROM's to focus so much on it as many have, unless the end user is a road warrior, sales or road tech where GPS and Pictures help them reach their destination easier than just inputting an address in google maps or M$ Live and going there as well instead of being a secondary or tertiary component and focusing more on the SYS/XIP, OpenGL, Mail, UI, ETC development for faster, smoother OS as a whole rather than dealing with shiney pretty things to go "ooohh" "ahhh" over and then done

I liken footprints and things like it to new toys for a little kid on christmas, the fun of the toy last 5 minutes but the box it came in will last for weeks
LOL
