While I agree fully with the intent of this thread and do fully believe in the idea behind "more eyes can easily see the problem as more brains can easier solve the problem" (sometimes LOL) it need to be understood this is NOT open source material whatsoever,
There is no GPL, NO Copyleft on any of this that people do. This is an operating system and applications and the like that are being ripped out, modified and ported to devices they may or may not ever been intended for (e.g. TF3D/2D aka Manila or soon WinMO 6.5) the GUI was never intended for out devices nor was the OS, but people are obtaining the software and modifying them for such a purpose much as someone downloads an ISO of Vista and some key generator and puts it on an old PC, Microsoft owns the OS, you as the consumer buy a license to use Microsofts OS
So lets be clear on the ideal and intent here - I love the idea and purpose of ripping things out, modifying them and trying them on other items, its great and I appreciate and am in awe of some of the chefs that have the time, patience and ability to do as they do but this is not open source nor is it in any reality legal and really the only reason the owners of the items used here and elseware havent cracked down is that its simply too much, too big of a community to do so plus the innovations are too welcome to close the shop down when they can grab fixes and changes for free and use them themselves.
