I was getting Error 262 too. Finally I got a different RUU loader and that worked.
Get the ROMUpdateUtility from the post below.
Unzip it and drop Mighty Rom 4.12 file RUU_signed.nbh (about 114MB) into the RUU folder and run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
Get the RUU from this post and follow instructions from that post.

Unlocked from stock with Hard SPL 0.37.
Prior to attempting to flash, I jotted down these:
ROM Version: 1.03.661.0
Rom date: 10/14/08
Radio ver: 1.07.01V
Hardware ver: 0080
