What i think really needs to be developed is a projector that uses the air alone to project its image. By manipulating the depth at which projecter beams come in contact with air particles, the resultant would be a front view 3d image. Essentially, by eliminating the need for a screen, the brightness of the image would stay the same (because distances would be the same) and day to day operation would be less cumbersome.

As for the camera recognition part though, i think its genius and would work great in a necklace. However the controversial privacy issues of always having a camera monitoring your surroundings are monumental.
Yeah, it definitely wouldn't catch on in its current state, but it's still impressive.
