Re: Opera 15613

Will this build install over the 15613 build or will it need uninstalling? Also, does it still have the flash support this does?

I'm not talking about streaming videos and could care less about that, I'm talking about support for sites like the desktop version of Hotmail, or sites like CNET which loads with an animated applet on the main page. 15529 was also the only build I've seen with the option in settings to switch between browsing as a mobile browser or a desktop browser, to force pages to load in their desktop versions.

Most browsers don't support these sites correctly but 15529 does and it works great. All other builds I"ve tried of Opera Mobile 9.5 do NOT so far, but older Opera Mobile 8 had this java support built in. I'm going to try this new build but I bet money it doesn't support the applets correctly..... I don't know why newer builds had this feature removed. Also, 15529 had the *****in transparent zoom slider on the right, which I like a lot better than the zoom bar on the bottom.

EDIT: Tried the build from this thread (the tweaked one from the second page) and yeah it loads fast, but the better Java support is gone. Also, it loads faster because it 'pre-loads', in other words, it starts up with Windows, I noticed on my first reboot after installing that I booted with like 7 MB less RAM... screw that noise!! Disable the pre loading and it goes back to 'normal' load time

Anyways, I'm not impressed... back to build 15529 for me!

I STRONGLY urge anyone reading this to try that build and see just how much closer it is to true desktop browsing!
