I had found those and tried them. They work, but not exactly like I was hoping for. I was hoping that if WP was on a TAB in MS, then when you hit the TAB and start using the D Pad (WP-Pilot) would kick in, inside the TAB.
I tiried moving Pilot to the top of MS and bottom of MS, but Pilot does not control WP, it controls the next item in the today screen (SPB Phone).

WP-Pilot will control WP when in a tab if you place WP-Pilot directly below Mobile Shell in the Today screen AND auto-hide tab contents is
OFF. When you activate the WP tab, hit down once and WP-Pilot it will activate.
The downside (when WP is in a tab) is WP-Pilot will also activate whenever you hit down in any other tab also. It doesn't know that WP is not visible...
