My experience has been, that if the tap and hold won't work for pasting, then neither will the soft keyboard.
I wish there were a registry setting that would allow c/p all over the PPC..

Not true, is seems that when a text box is set to get a password and displays "*" instead of the characters typed, the soft keyboard ctrl + C doesn't work...
