They release a device, see how it goes over, listen to feed back, then make a newer improved device.
This is how it works for a lot of things, just not electronics. Why not just buy a TP2 when they come out? If the newer features and the improvements are such a huge deal to you, you shouldn't mind paying more.
Or wait until whatever comes out after the TP2 and buy it instead.
