It only works if you do not have the Palm Threaded SMS app installed.
I feel this new app works better than the palm app (plus the palm app takes up 4mb of internal rom)
now, if you don't have any other app installed for sms; go to the contacts name (you should see a scrollable and animated thread of all the prior sms with them (date and time)
and just start writing back and forth
