If that fails, then I would flash back to the stock ROM, get the free 30 day trial of VZ Navigator....If that works, then the GPS chip is good. If it doesn't work, then you can get the phone replaced....and then re-apply all Scott's ROMS and stuff and you will still have a fast phone.

Thanks Bob! That is exactly what I would have recmended.
There is no way the GPS chip is dead. Its actually part of the core processor. Its not a sep chip. Granted yes, parts of a chip can burn out in THEORY but I would like to see it happen and not take the rest of the chip with it.
Bob, your an engineer? Is it possible for a GPS section of a chip to fry but the rest of the chip be good and perform all other phone functions? Hell not even GPS, any part of any chip? What are your thoughts. Im just an electronic tech trained by the military so you know I dont know much ;c) But seriously,. what do you think? Is that possible?

Debating if it's worth it to have a slow *** phone with GPS or a fast phone without GPS
Does anyone know if the stock leaked ROM in the "stock rom" thread is any good? (need a stock rom to return phone)

See above
Yes, the stock ROM in that thread is athe genuine stock ROM. Its also what I based the kitchen on, but not the sys files, as you know...
