There is some sort of noise cancellation technology that seems to kick in when using a headset (wired or Bluetooth). It causes the first part of your words to be cut off if there was a sufficient pause. It seems to detect noise and mutes the mic when you are not speaking. This causes the person you are talking with to continually say "what?". It is so bad that I rarely use a headset and it is driving me crazy.

There must be a regedit or something I can do to disable that. Does any have an idea? Or at least something I should search for in the registry? I've done as much as I can on my own - I don't like asking for help, but am out of ideas.

BTW, I'm using the Verizon HTC Touch.
