Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

I don't agree at all, my 6700 running an oem battery and whatever latest greatest ROM from here with WM6.1.... outlasts my stock TP 6:1 and it never gets warm. Rock stable to the point of being boring.

My 6800 outlasts the TP by a very long shot. Ho hum.

I do live in a fringe area but the TP does indeed have serious design problems not limited to it's junky pos dpad.

The battery is indeed waaaaay too small, it completely lacks any effective means of heat dissipation and by design in fact, traps all the un-sinked heat compounding the problem of it's purely plastic frame having nary one spec of ground aluminum or copper added to help with this miserable problem..... wonder if any of those designers ever owned an air cooled motorcycle and asked themselves if those fins were there just to be cute?

So I'll pass on the "tough love"

htc truly dropped the ball on this half baked product release of very substandard execution at best

I am hoping however, that when I finally get it cooked it will at least squeeze within some narrow margin of acceptability

and since this tart has some quite seductive charms

I'm guessing that's a distinct possibility and I'll be able to overlook the fact they chose not to invest far more money into the latest rechargeable battery technology and really trim the flab off the device's very excessive consumption

as long as it quits crashing and acting stupid

btw..... has anyone got the bluetooth chip housed FM receiver working? overclocking is still an absolute impossibility?

those things too make me want to punch htc in their hoooker mouths as well
