Got it to update the time by changing the clock setting from home to visiting and back to home. make sure your GMT time zone is correct, cause mine changed from GMT-5 TO GMT-7. Then soft reset, that's the only thing that worked for me.
probably could have changed manually, but that wasn't the point. LOL
