You're just not getting it. Myself and others aren't telling you to give up. We're telling you that you're going about it the wrong way. HTC doesn't care about these threads or websites, and yes - if you actually searched, you'd find many more similar complaints about this generation of TECH. In order to get change from HTC - you have to vote with your wallet. That's the only thing they care about. That's the opponent you're trying to rally support against, and it's not going to work the way you propose to protest. It's like trying to drive a nail with your hand - and denying the existence of a hammer. I intend to vote with my wallet when I have better options.
As someone else pointed out, it would be awesome if Qualcomm released the drivers when this phone gets it's *** kicked by phones using the Tegra drivers. But I doubt it. I think then they'd get released as part of some new incremental product - for newer phones.
Otherwise - you have to hope other companies (like Coreplayer) decide to reverse engineer the drivers in order to support our phone. But again, that's not HTC - so not relevant to your argument or proposal at all.
