Sprint has data plans that work on any phone. My wife had "Powervision" on her old razr and it works just fine for data on her new touch pro. I do not know what the current data plans are called since we're on an old retentions plan. The only thing would be if you were switching from a non-EVDO data plan to an EVDO phone. They require you to have the EVDO data plan (but you'd have to have a pretty old plan to have the non-EVDO data).
