Same thing was posted over at sprintusers.com

Apparently true. Maybe.

The consensus there was if you wanted to change your info, you should do it via the NORMAL sprint *2 method, and not by calling this 800 number. Just in case all that was really stolen was your physical address, and then they used that to send this "phising" letter.
