as an alternative if you already love your stereo deck/HU or want to keep it stock or you have a newer car with the custom center console(instead of the standard size radio) you can buy a A2DP enable BT car kit like the Parrot MK6100 or MK6000
primarly they are for handsfree phone call which will route the audio through your car's speaker, but these 2 models are also A2DP AVRCP enable so you can stream music from the phone also.
I installed the MK6100 and I love it!
