not sure if he'll run in to the same problem I have had is that most themes just don't look right on my sprint touch pro. I've tried putting the sprintflipclock.cab in first and after and they just don't seem to look right.
The last one I attempted was black carbon which I love but I couldn't get it to look just right.
Using themes that were made with the sprint touch pro in mind would probably alleviate some of this. I'm new so still trying to research on these forums and xda.
