That value is read from the nvm of your phone, and should be branded the same as the carrier name printed on the front of your phone. If it doesn't appear it may be nothing but it could also indicate problems with the CDMA radio in your phone. Have you ever edited your ESN or made any other changes to the nvm? Did you buy this phone used off of ebay? Does the phone sometimes indicate "NO" radio or no version information listed in the "Device Information" control panel?

A "Yes" to any of those questions could point to reasons why you don't see the carrier name.

Are you able to make and receive calls without problems? If so, I wouldn't worry about it.
