Its cool, its my fault for thinking too much about what each step did. i got it all sorted. I skipped step 4. and just put the data.gz and system.img in the root of my sd card, then put the rest of the files in the root of my device in an Android labled folder. Took a few minutes to boot, and i noticed it reported some errors on the linux screen.
Ive been using android for the last 40 min. Martin and everyone else who worked on this did an amazing job. Will try to donate next paycheck if im not in the red again. Everything seems to be working now, except gps. I played an mp3 and couldnt figure out how to turn the volume down it sounded like it was going to blow my poor little speaker. Made a phone call, sent some text messages, surfed the web, used google maps (all no need to establish a connection before booting now), played snakes... all working great. Takes a few minutes to get use to red button being the power and volume rocker up is back. Even the videos played, they were in black and white and skipped but they still played sound included.
Is there a way to sync contacts without a third party via usb or sdcard?
