Re: I've tried everything to get my Metro PCS internet setup. Please help!!!

Ok, I did find that there was the htc_guardian file in my windows folder. I replaced it with a dummy file with no coding at all. I'm still not connecting...

Could it be that I need to use another number other than my actual phone number? I'm looking in my EPST settings, and I see something called MSID that has another number that almost looks like my phone number. Should I try using this?

There has got to be something wrong with the username and password. It doesn't make any sense that I just randomly wouldn't be able to connect. It seems to work for everyone else... I wonder if I call Metro if someone will tell me what my username and pass should be for their WAP network. I am paying for it after all.

BTW: In the Proxy settings, am I supposed to be filling in my username and password or leaving them blank? What did you do? Also, is it supposed to be socks 4 or 5? Nobody ever talks about these settings, so maybe something in there is messed up...

Is is possible that my username is supposed to be my MIN number? They mention in the MMS settings that you should use your MIN number (which might not be the same as the regular #). Maybe this is true for my Web as well?

EDIT: Ok, I look in my EPST settings, and it says MIN1 and MIN2. MIN1 is my area code, and MIN2 looks very similiar to my phone #, but has a few digits changed. So I'm assuming that my full min would be all ten digits put together. Am I supposed to be using this instead of my actual phone #? Could that be my problem?

If I am supposed to be using this number, do I need to change my info for the EPST settings? I'm very confused at this point and I just want it to work...
