I'm the same way.
The stock tf3d does have landscape and it got a lot of crap that it only displayed a couple shortcuts in landscape. A lot of people didn't like this, especially the early reviewers of the videos I watched. To me, a lot of thinking was behind this: when the keyboard is out, you probably need to type right? So the gave us a list of shortcuts that directly involved typing. This would be the only thing I'd like. Full landscape tf3d is worthless in my mind.
Anyways, it's gonna be a moot point when the tf3d from the tp2 gets ported, but honestly I'd rather just have had a couple of big icon shortcuts anyways.
