I believe that I've found the reason why feeds are coming into Viigo too slow for my liking:

A majority of my feeds are from a smaller community newspaper, local colleges, and regional cellular cell phone discussion forums to where I wouldn't be at all surprised if I'm the *only* Viigo customer subscribed to these particular feeds. Although technically Viigo servers are probably doing exactly what they are supposed to, their prioritization scheme has put most of my feeds at the bottom of the barrel in terms of update priority.

Quite likely because Viigo's customer has grown in recent weeks and months has all of a sudden turned what was a fairly responsive system in getting news updates into several hour delays, making it of diminished value and unacceptible. The automatic update frequency interval means nothing except for the most popular feeds (probably the ones that came with the client by default).

I found a very similar post on a BlackBerry forum asking the same thing this past month. Noting that this article was just written in the past three weeks, I'm guessing that they are getting this question a lot. Centralized server coordination brings some advantages, but if it impacts *news*feeds by several hours, then the value is gone. It's frustrating ... I used Viigo on a BlackBerry for over a year and even during the month of January on Windows Mobile it seemed pretty good. What I need is a good lightweight RSS feeder that will download content more on my schedule and not theirs.

One other observation ... for the life of me I can't find where "team.viigo.com" is linked to from the main viigo.com site. I only found this article though a Google search result!
