Re: Worth it to go from vz to at&t

i was a former sprint customer for many years. i am in the military and travel all over the US. based on my experience with sprint, they had the cheapest plans but the worst coverage. i travel to Texas to visit my family 2-3 times a year and where my mom lives there was absolutely no sprint coverage whatsoever, not even roaming. 2 of my brothers have at&t and while they are at my moms they have perfect coverage. my wife and i live 10 minutes from Philadelphia and we had dropped calls all the time, crappy service at our house, and their customer support was horrible. we switched to at&t about a year ago and have never been happier. i have never had to call customer support for anything, our bill is pricey but it doesnt fluctuate every month like it did with sprint. i have the fuze and i am using the HSDPA network and it is blazingly fast. sprint is cheaper, but at&t has the quality in my opinion, and if you travel overseas, you can rest assure that it will work pretty much anywhere being as GSM is the most favorable network. i have had full signal traveling out in the middle of nowhere in Texas and everywhere else while my sister with alltel had no service, brother with verizon had none, and friend with sprint had none as well.

it all depends on where you live, whether you travel often, and your budget. each carrier has its plus and minuses depending on your specific situation.
