I always go directly to the store that has a repair center, if they cant fix it they'll just give you a new handset... but they at least need to know that you ARE insured first... they never actually put in a claim or hit me for a deductible on the new handset.

Kinda seems like to me they are getting stricter about charging the deductible at the repair centers.
